“Right now, the construction industry is seeing tremendous growth across Ontario, new schools, affordable housing, new hospitals, there is always going to be great paying, rewarding careers in all construction trades. What is VR?
VR (Virtual Reality) allows users to view a workplace through the lens of a VR headset and learn how to work in different conditions and use tools that will help them succeed on the job.
It is for this reason that we are proud to offer virtual reality training alongside our traditional courses. Our VR headsets give the learner a fun and realistic way of learning skills that may be new to them through an immersive experience.
“With our VR training, learners can experience a real-life job site through the lens of our headset and provide the most up-to-date training experience they will ever see. With all of our training courses available online, companies can help train their staff at their own pace and allow them to be job ready right away, as well as making sure that learners are safe and effective,” explains Townsend.
In order to meet the ever-changing needs of the industry, our training is designed by the industry, for the industry.
Our courses are developed in collaboration with accredited institutions to ensure they are specific to every construction sector. Additionally, we have many partners in Ontario that we work with to provide any new courses that are necessary for the industry.
“We work specifcally for the open shop contractors across Ontario. Through funding from the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario, all of our services training, VR training, and job portal are available for free,” Townsend adds.
